Genesee Health System (GHS) is Genesee County's public mental health provider. GHS has provided services to Genesee County residents for nearly 60 years.
Region 10
Genesee Health System has joined Lapeer County Community Mental Health, Sanilac County Community Mental Health, and St. Clair County Community Mental Health in a collaborative effort to serve the four-county area effectively. Welcome to the Genesee Health System website! For more than 50 years, we have been the primary Genesee County public service provider for individuals with serious mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Through continuous innovation and expansion of our programs, we hope to maximize our positive impact on the community well into the future.
From spearheading the creation of a Recovery Oriented System of Care to emphasizing the physical well-being of our consumers, GHS has grown to serve many of our county neighbors every year while working with countless businesses and organizations in the area. Our commitment to our consumers has driven us to incorporate the best standards of care from around the country, using evidence-based practices in a culture of gentleness with a look to whole-person wellness.
