Genesee Health System moves Behavioral Health Urgent Care to new location

GENESEE COUNTY, MI – The Genesee Health System (GHS) Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) will officially move into its new location at 1040 West Bristol Road, Flint, on Monday, July 14, 2025.

“The new facility is welcoming and still provides 24/7 mental health crisis services for everyone in Genesee County, while offering more options to meet you where you are in need,” said Jen McCarty, Chief Operations Officer at GHS. “A special thank you to the BHUC staff, GHS facilities, and all those involved in bringing this new level of GHS crisis services to fruition. ”

The current Behavioral Health Urgent Care location at 422 W. 4th Ave., in Flint, will remain open, taking the last walk-in until 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2025.

The new location will initially offer the same crisis services as the existing location. Later this summer, additional services, such as the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and Crisis Residential Unit (CRU), will gradually open. Initially, walk-in services at the new location will be Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Individuals needing telehealth crisis services can get help 24/7 by calling (810) 496-5500.

BHUC walk-in hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
