Contract Psychologist – Children’s Integrated Services Assessment Clinic (CISAC)

Description of Duties:

  • Completes autism diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations for individuals 18 months to 21 years of age.
  • Initial evaluations and Re-evaluations:
    • Administers, scores, interprets, and writes reports using the following required instruments as part of a fixed battery of tests:
      • Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale – 2 (ADOS-2)
      • Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R) or equivalent
      • Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale (VABS)
      • One of the following cognitive measures:
        • Mullen Scales of Early Learning (MSEL)
        • Weschler Preschool and Primary Scales of Intelligence (WPPSI)
        • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)
        • Differential Abilities Scales
        • Prior formal training and experience in administration of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R (or equivalent) is required.
        • Complies with all departmental and agency policy and procedure, specifically documentation timeliness and testing standards.
        • All test equipment, protocols, and necessary equipment (e.g., computer) are provided by the CISAC for contractor’s use.
        • All testing is completed in an outpatient clinic setting, located at the Center for Children’s Integrated Services in Flint, Michigan.
        • Documentation will be completed per requirements and guidelines set forth by the CISAC in both an electronic medical record and report template word document.
        • Works under the direction of the Program Director or designee.
        • All appointment scheduling is completed by the CISAC clerical staff.
        • The contractor provides the CISAC with a schedule of available hours for at least 14 days in advance scheduling. The CISAC clerical staff keeps the contractor informed of all scheduled appointments.
        • Flexible number of work hours, but 8-10 per week is estimated. Clinic hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday.
        • Evaluation reports are to be completed within 7 days of the last date of test administration/appointment with the individual and/or caregiver.
        • Provides a formal feedback session regarding the outcome of assessments to the parent/caregiver.

Additional Requirements:

Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.

Registered Nurse (RN)

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Medical Director and within established policies and procedures, assists the providers and other clinic team members as needed by helping to establish a friendly and safe environment. Assisting in meeting the care needs of individuals and families seeking services, performing clinical duties, and carrying out administrative tasks while promoting the mission of GCHC. Performs administrative and medical support functions, many of which are confidential in nature. Responsible for supporting the delivery of COVID 19 testing and vaccines to the community. Works within established standards for nursing and care management principles and practices. Actively supports and participates in quality improvement/assurance activities and projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan AND ability to move up to 30 pounds in order to transport supplies/equipment and to move or position clients.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Keyboarding and computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, electronic medical/health records and database management.

Must be able to exert 20 pounds of force frequently and/or consistently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction; pick, pinch, type or otherwise primarily with fingers. Must be able to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palms.

Must be able to raise objects horizontally from position to position. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Walking and standing are also required. Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s license, current automobile insurance and the use of a vehicle during work hours. Must submit a copy of college transcripts and license with application.

PREFERENCES: Community Health Center Experience preferred. Recent vaccine administration and MCIR data entry preferred.
