Before requesting an AOT violation, please be sure that you have completed due diligence to engage the consumer in outpatient treatment.
Multiple phone calls, at least one attempted home visit, and calling the emergency contacts should be done over the course of several weeks.
NOTE: If the person is at risk of immediate harm to self or others, please call 911 for hospitalization before requesting the AOT is violated.
