Danis Russell is one of the 2024 Crain’s Health Care Heroes

GENESEE COUNTY, MI—On Monday, Crain’s Detroit Business publication announced its 2024 Health Care Heroes. One of them was Danis Russell, CEO of Genesee Health System (GHS).

Crain’s had requested “nominations of people who should be recognized for expanding access to care, innovating new programs and procedures, and opening doors for diverse talent.”

The article noted his work on the Flint Water Crisis and the COVID-19 Pandemic, focusing on creating a mobile care system that provides testing and treatment to the community when and where needed. Further, he led the expansion of the new facility for the Center for Children’s Integrated Services. Also, under his leadership, the agency just moved to its new location at 1040 W. Bristol Road, which offers more space for expanded services offered to the community.

“Offering treatment in a welcoming, clean, and inviting facility shows people that we care enough about them and respect them enough to provide quality care in a quality location,” Russell says.

Congratulations to Danis Russell on this well-deserved recognition.
