GHS SUD Advisory Council

The purpose of the GHS Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Advisory Council is to ensure that the services made available through the Region 10 Coordinating Agency (CA) are high quality, accessible and responsive to the community’s needs in a culturally competent manner, It also provides a mechanism for efforts to expand and coordinate resources and activities with other agencies, community organizations, and individuals to support developments and maintenance of a comprehensive and responsive SUD service array. The Council is comprised of 11-20 members and includes representation from many community stakeholder groups such as:

  • Public and private substance use disorder prevention, treatment and recovery providers.
  • Individuals who are or have been directly served by substance use disorder treatment, recovery and prevention programs.
  • Community organizations and the business community representing an interest in and willingness to advocate for SUD prevention and treatment services
  • Law enforcement, Faith Community, Education, and related service agencies such as housing, employment assistance or other health/social service agencies including local foundations, as well as advocacy-oriented organizations.
