Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)

The Genesee Health System (GHS) Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Program is a community partnership of law enforcement, behavioral healthcare professionals, and individuals and family members impacted by mental illness, substance use disorder, or intellectual and developmental disabilities, to improve community response to behavioral health crises.

Genesee Health System receives top certification for Crisis Intervention Training program

The Genesee Health System (GHS) Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Program has been awarded Platinum Level Certification through CIT International. It is the only Platinum Level Certification program in the Michigan Region and one of only two regional CIT programs nationwide to be awarded the Platinum Level Certification.
