Parents and Caregivers of children in services at GHS: Has a child you care for been exposed to trauma? Have they been involved in or seen a frightening, dangerous, or violent event?
Traumatic experiences can bring on strong emotions and physical reactions that can last long after the event. Signs of trauma can include:
- Strong and long lasting emotional upset
- Problems relating to others or forming attachments
- Paying attention and academic difficulties
- Behavioral changes
- Difficulty sleeping and eating
- Physical symptoms, such as aches and pains
Join us for a 4-week series where you will learn how to:
- Respond effectively to the challenges of children who have experienced trauma
- Help your child develop healthy relationships, recognize and enhance their strengths, and develop the skills needed to grow into healthy adults
- Take care of yourself and advocate for services and resources for your child

Tuesdays 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. | Wednesdays 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. | Thursdays 12 - 2 P.M.
